THE perfect summer's day ended in disappointment for Cheshire as they were 27-34 losers to an efficient and quite frankly lightning-quick Yorkshire side.
Both Lewis Minken and Simon Frewin bagged two tries which Cheshire simply could not keep up with.
The opening quarter saw Cheshire fly out of the blocks and dominate the opening period, with the game looking likely to be in Cheshire's hands.
It took only two minutes for Cheshire to open the scoring with Charlie Venables, who had absolutely no right to catch Tom Morton's chip into the corner, putting Cheshire five points to the good.
The onslaught continued with the Cheshire front row, made up of the inform Caldy contingent, causing major problems for their Yorkshire counterparts.

It was their first time in Cheshire's half and a sign of their quality when given the opportunity.
A brief Cheshire fightback in the second half was absorbed impressively and Yorkshire slalomed to victory with the pick of the tries belonging to Simon Frewin.
Caldy Rugby Club's Harrison Crowe and co battled hard in the sweltering heat showing their National One dominance in the usual battering ram-like fashion.
A late Jack Moorhouse try gave Cheshire hope but it was all too late for the dream comeback and Yorkshire ran out deserved winners.
