A LORRY driver died after his vehicle crashed into a wall on Wallasey Dock Road on Monday night.
At about 10.55pm emergency services were called to a report that a Heavy Goods Vehicle had collided with a wall.
Police, fire-fighters and paramedics attended.
The 43-year-old driver of the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Patrols from the Matrix Serious Organised Crime Roads Policing Unit attended and the scene was cordoned off for examination.
Collision investigators also attended and enquiries are being carried out to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident, although, at this stage, no other vehicle is believed to be involved.
The victim's next of kin are in the process of being contacted.
The vehicle has been removed and the road reopen at around 7am.
