FATHER Christmas will open his Grotto as a part of Birkenhead Fire Station festive funday.
The seasonal family event at the station on Exmouth Street is being held on Saturday, December 7 from 11am to 4pm.
It has been organised by Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service in partnership with Stronger Communities Initiative Assembly (SCIA).
Families are invited to bring children along to see Father Christmas and enjoy a range of activities.
It will also include the charity Fire Support Network’s streetcage soccer, the Fire Fit climbing wall, face painting, finger printing, a vintage fire appliance from the MF&RS Heritage and Education Centre, a raffle, food and other children’s activities.
Fire safety advice will also be given at the free Christmas fun day.
Wirral District Prevention Manager Jenny Welsh said: "We want lots of children to come along and see Father Christmas at the event.
"It will also be nice for people to come and have a look at the new fire station.
"There will be lots of free activities for children to enjoy and everyone is welcome to come along.
"We will also be offering advice on how to stay safe from fire over the Christmas period."
