A Wirral businesswoman who champions the curvaceous female form has been nominated for a national award by the group that celebrates “Plus Size.”
Writer and website confidante Betty Pamper has been nominated for “Best Blogger” in the prestigious “British Plus Size Awards.”
Betty writes a daily blog on fashion and make-up for curvy ladies. She described herself as a “plus size hottie” and works as a make-up artist at her Vintage Pamperbox salon in West Kirby.
She said: “I am happy to fly the flag for ‘Rubenesque’ beauties and I was stunned to find I had been nominated for an award.
“I was so shocked when I received the call to say I had been short listed. I didn’t even know I had been entered.
“One of my lovely readers must have nominated me and to make the final which includes some really well known plus sized blogs. I know my blog is a huge inspiration to many plus size women as they regularly tweet and email me to tell me, but to receive this kind of national recognition really takes it to the next level and I am so grateful.”
The final, which takes place at a ceremony hosted by Steps’ Claire Richards and TV’s Jeff Brazier at the Grand Connaught Rooms in London recognises people who have broken barriers in the plus size industry.
Other nominees include Towies Gemma Collins, Lisa Riley from Strictly Come Dancing and funny man James Cordon.
